Musicians in the Making Programme

What is the Musicians in the Making Programme?

The Musicians in the Making is an innovative, fully online programme offering a holistic music learning approach to learners who may be already engaged in instrumental music tuition or would like to start it. It caters for learners interested in learning to play the piano, guitar, singing, violin, flute and any other instruments and supports them in developing their musicianship skills through the combination of one-to-one tuition in their area of preference and group music lessons focused on music theory and musicianship development areas. The programme culminates with an instrumental and music theory exam.

Students in the programme will avail of the following online lessons every week for 24 weeks:

  • Individual Instrumental or vocal lesson (30 minutes session).

  • Group Music Lesson (60 minutes session combining music theory, aural and creativity development, including music technology and performance insights).

At the end of the programme, learners will sit an instrumental and a music theory exam appropriate to their age and level of learning within pre-grades, grade 1, 2 or 3. While the Music Theory Exam board will be ABRSM, instrumental music exam boards will be chosen based on learner's learning needs and board examination specific requirements. Please note that the programme's fees do not include the examination costs, which must be paid separately before the exam.
