Hello

I teach Guitar, Bass and Drums

My Story

I am a full time musician and guitar player based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. I perform all around the country bringing music to peoples ears through various different bands, ensembles and session work. I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years, a passion and now career which I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. It is this passion, excitement and dedication that I strive to instill in all fellow musicians and students whether they are a complete beginner or an already established player. Having previously taught lessons in a private capacity I am now extremely excited to begin teaching with Enact Music.

My guitar playing is rooted in Blues and Rock'n'roll however, I have grown to incorporate many styles of music into my playing due to a love of different musical genres e.g. country, pop, folk, funk, soul, jazz etc.  Growing up I was always surrounded by music. From listening to music around the house with my dad to attending concerts and playing air guitar in the middle of the living room floor (we all have to start somewhere), I began my musical journey.

At the age of 11 I started playing guitar and immediately fell in love with the instrument and knew it would be a part of me for the rest of my life. Through my newfound passion for all things guitar and music as well as studying it in school I then developed additional skills on drums and bass guitar.  â€‹Since then I have completed my BSc 2:1 degree in Music Technology and Sonic Arts as well as an HND in Music and Music Performance. It was during my studies that I also began regularly performing in original and cover bands.

As a teacher I am approachable, encouraging and inspiring with each of my students. I have a saying, if I can inspire you to pick up and play your instrument outside of our lessons then I have done my job and you will already be on your way to carving out your own musical journey.
