Summer Scheme 2024

Are you ready to embark on a musical adventure like no other? Join us for our exciting Music Summer Scheme!

Deadline to register: 07/06/2024

Whether your child is a budding musician or just beginning to explore the world of music, our summer scheme offers a unique and holistic approach to learning.

Running for three weeks, each dedicated to a different aspect of musicianship, our scheme welcomes learners aged 6 to 14 (inclusive) of all levels. They can dive into a week-long exploration of performance, music technology, and creativity development through music composition and improvisation, or join us for the full three weeks for a comprehensive musical adventure.

But that's not all! We understand busy schedules, so you can also opt for individual days tailored to your child's availability. Flexibility meets fun in our engaging programme.

Our primary goal is to provide a dynamic and immersive learning experience where students not only develop their musical skills but also uncover the joys of collaboration and creativity. Through ensemble playing and group activities, your child will forge friendships and grow in a supportive environment.

And the best part? Every Friday from 2 pm to 3 pm, you're invited to witness the culmination of your child's weekly journey in a delightful concert performance. It's a chance for them to shine and showcase the work they have developed during the week!

Don't let this incredible opportunity pass you by. Sign up for our Music Summer Scheme today and let the music begin!

-
Week 1: July 1st - July 6th (inclusive) - "Performance: Groove and Move"
Dive into the world of melody and rhythm as we explore music performance and music theory, including notation reading, ear training, ensemble playing and conducting, critical listening and their relevance to becoming a musician. From drum circles to an array of other vocal and instrumental music ensemble performances, your child will discover the joy of making music with others.

-
Week 2: July 15th - July 19th (inclusive) - "Sound transformers"
Embark on a journey through the world of sound and technology. Focusing on digital music production, your child will explore the endless possibilities of some of the currently available modern music-making tools, while also understanding the relevance of these tools to modern music performance and music creation.

-
Week 3: August 12th - August 17th (inclusive) - "Music creators"
Unleash your child's inner composer as we delve into melody, harmony, and songwriting. Through interactive activities and creative exercises, they'll learn how to craft their own musical masterpieces with or without music technology (as per their choice) and develop their solo and group improvisation skills.
